Gilt Multi Strand Mesh and Ball Link Bracelet
This gilt multi strand mesh and ball link bracelet is catalogued as circa 1950s. It is a wide, flexible bracelet built from rows of interlinked gilt links, with small rounded ball terminals projecting along both edges. The links are arranged in several strands, giving the bracelet its substantial, sculptural width. The fastening is a rectangular box clasp, one half of which carries an engraved foliate pattern of leaves and tendrils, while the opposing half is plain. The combination of mesh construction and ball detailing is characteristic of mid-twentieth century costume jewellery.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The bracelet is offered in the condition shown, and any further condition details will be provided on request. The engraved foliate decoration on the clasp is a notable feature, and the mesh and ball link construction remains intact across the length of the piece. Items of this type are sought by collectors of 1950s costume jewellery and by those drawn to bold, textured gilt designs of the period. Its wide mesh form and decorative clasp make it a distinctive example for both wear and display.
