Glass Chessboard with Metal Chess Set
This lot comprises a glass chessboard with a matching set of metal chess pieces. The board is finished with a black border and a grid of gold-coloured lines, with alternating red and black squares across the playing surface. The pieces are finished in black with gold-tone detailing and in deep burgundy with gold-tone detailing, giving the set a bold, contemporary appearance that sits well on display as well as in play.
Condition and Collector Interest
The board and pieces are offered as described in the lot description and as shown in the photograph. No obvious chips or cracks are visible on the glass in the photograph, and the metal pieces appear to be in good order. Buyers are encouraged to view the lot in person or request further images before bidding. The striking colour scheme and the combination of glass and metal will appeal to collectors of modern chess sets and to those looking for a distinctive piece for a display cabinet or games room.
