Box of Glazed Ceramic Tiles
This lot comprises a box of glazed ceramic tiles, presented loose in an open cardboard carton. The tiles are square and have a pale yellow-cream glaze. Some display a glossy finish, while others have a more matt, speckled surface. The exact quantity has not been counted, but the box holds a number of tiles arranged in no set order. No maker’s marks are visible, so the manufacturer and origin cannot be confirmed.
Condition and Collectability
The tiles show surface speckling and some marks to the glaze, which are consistent with age and handling. Individual edges and corners have not been checked for chips, so prospective buyers are advised to examine the lot in person before bidding. The tiles are unfixed and appear to be in their original loose state. This lot may appeal to buyers seeking period or vintage tiling, restoration projects, or plain glazed tiles for bespoke interiors and garden features.
