British Coinage Proof Sets
This lot comprises three proof sets of Great Britain coinage, showcasing designs from the reign of Elizabeth II. The sets are presented in original blue display cases, each containing a selection of coins including Half Crowns, Florins, English Shillings, Scotch Shillings, Sixpences, Three Pences, Pennies and Halfpennies. The dates represented within the sets span from 1953 to 1961, offering a glimpse into the evolving coinage of the era.
Condition and Collectibility
These proof sets appear to be in generally good condition, with coins displaying the characteristic mirrored finish expected of proof examples. While some minor age-related wear or spotting may be present upon close inspection, the overall presentation is well-maintained. These sets would be of interest to collectors of British coinage, particularly those focusing on the Elizabeth II era, and offer a visually appealing way to display a range of denominations from a specific period.
