Uranium Glass Bowl Introduction

This striking bowl is crafted from uranium glass, also known as vaseline glass, exhibiting a vibrant green hue that glows under ultraviolet light. The bowl’s form is simple yet elegant, typical of pieces produced during the early to mid-20th century. Uranium glass was popular for its distinctive colour and was often used for decorative items like bowls, vases, and tableware. The glass’s colour is derived from the inclusion of uranium oxide during manufacturing, creating a luminous quality that makes it highly sought after by collectors.

Uranium Glass Bowl Condition

This bowl presents with expected wear consistent with its age and use. There are no significant chips or cracks, though minor surface scratches and imperfections may be present. The bowl retains its vibrant green colour and luminous quality, making it a desirable piece for collectors of vintage glass. Its unique properties and historical significance add to its appeal, making it a captivating addition to any collection or display.
