GWR Toilet Roll Holder & Shoe Horn

This is an antique toilet roll holder, accompanied by a brass shoe horn, originating from the Great Western Railway (GWR). The holder features a distinctive design, likely intended for use in railway carriages or station facilities. The brass construction suggests durability and a focus on maintaining a high standard of hygiene and comfort for passengers. The inclusion of a shoe horn alongside the toilet roll holder is an unusual pairing, hinting at a specific purpose or provision within the GWR system.

Condition & Collectability

The holder and shoe horn exhibit signs of age and use, consistent with their antique status. The brass shows a lovely patina, and while there may be minor imperfections, these contribute to the item’s character and authenticity.
