RAOB Silver Jewel
This is a hallmarked silver jewel belonging to the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB). The jewel features a detailed design with a central buffalo head emblem, surrounded by the motto “Justice, Truth, Philanthropy”. It is suspended from a ribbon in the order’s colours, and comes presented in its original velvet lined box, embossed with the name “J Davis, Jeweller, Woburn Bridge, London E.C.”.
Condition and Collectibility
The jewel shows signs of age and wear, consistent with its likely age and use. The silver has a pleasing patina, and the ribbon shows some fading. This jewel would be of interest to collectors of fraternal order regalia, Masonic and Odd Fellows memorabilia, or those interested in antique silver jewellery. The inclusion of the original presentation box adds to its appeal and historical significance.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
