Spear Construction

This appears to be a hand-crafted fishing spear, likely made from a single piece of wood. The spear features a sharply pointed, barbed head, designed for impaling fish. A section of the shaft is wrapped with what appears to be twine or cordage, possibly for grip or reinforcement. The overall construction suggests a utilitarian purpose, likely created by hand for local fishing practices.

Condition and Collectibility

The spear exhibits signs of age and use, with wear and discoloration visible on the wood. The twine wrapping is worn in places, and the spearhead shows some patina. This piece would likely appeal to collectors of primitive tools, ethnographic items, or folk art. Its rustic appearance and apparent age suggest it is a genuine artifact from a traditional fishing practice.
