Three Wooden Hand Painted Frogs
This lot comprises three wooden frogs, each hand painted in a combination of green, yellow, red and brown. The set is graduated in size, with one larger frog and two smaller examples. Each figure is shaped with its legs folded in a seated, crouched pose, and the bodies are decorated with dotted spots and linear patterns in contrasting colours. The painted detailing around the eyes and across the back gives each frog a distinct character, and the three pieces are presented together as a group.
Good Overall Condition With Visible Paint Wear
The frogs show the expected wear for hand painted wooden pieces, with some areas of the painted finish appearing worn, particularly on the smaller examples. The underlying wood is visible in places where the paint has lightly worn. Their naive, hand decorated style makes them an appealing choice for collectors of folk art and decorative animal figures, as well as buyers looking for a characterful display piece for a shelf, windowsill or desk.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
