Vintage Hardy #9 Fly Fishing Rod
This lot offers a vintage Hardy #9 fly fishing rod, offered with its navy carry bag. The rod is presented as a two-piece fly rod with a cork handle and bronze-coloured ferrules.
Condition and Collectability
The rod carries the Hardy label reading “The House of Hardy” and “Made in England”, along with the markings “9′” and “275C” on the blank, which align with the Hardy #9 designation. The rod shows light surface marks to the cork handle consistent with age and use, while the varnished finish appears generally glossy. Its original Hardy markings, two-piece construction and accompanying bag may appeal to collectors of classic British fly tackle and anglers seeking a traditional rod with a recognised maker.
