Hardys Richard Walker Super Lite Fly Fishing Rod
This Hardys Richard Walker Super Lite fly fishing rod is offered with its navy cloth carry bag. The rod is marked with the Hardy’s name and the Alnwick maker’s connection, and it carries the Richard Walker name in gold lettering along the dark brown blank. Notable features include a cork handle, metal reel fitting, and gold-banded ferrules at the joints. The rod is presented in two sections, and the bag carries a Hardy’s label with cream drawstring tape.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The rod shows wear consistent with age and use, including marks to the blank and handling wear to the cork handle. The navy bag shows signs of age, with some fading and soiling to the cloth. The Hardy’s branding on both the rod and the bag appears to remain. Its association with the Hardys name and the Richard Walker designation may appeal to collectors of classic British tackle and to anglers with an interest in vintage fly fishing equipment.
