Heavy Duty Bench Vice

This lot is a heavy duty bench vice, offered as a workshop tool for clamping and holding work. The vice has a painted blue cast body with a swivel base, which is fitted with a mounting hole. It has a fixed jaw and a sliding jaw with brown-faced steel gripping surfaces, and the sliding jaw is operated by a round-ended handle on the side. The vice has a solid, substantial build typical of traditional workshop equipment, making it suited to bench-mounted use in a garage, workshop or hobby space.

Condition and Originality

The vice shows general signs of age and use. The blue paint is worn and chipped in places, with exposed metal and rust-coloured marks visible across the body and base. The jaw faces show brown discolouration and surface wear, and a small paper tag is attached to the body. No maker’s name is clearly visible in the description provided. Buyers with an interest in traditional workshop tools, or those looking for a robust vice for restoration or practical everyday use, may find this lot of interest.
