Heavy-Duty Bench Vice in Blue Finish
This lot is a heavy-duty bench vice finished in blue, offered as a practical workshop tool for clamping work at the bench.
The vice has a robust cast body with a fixed jaw and a moving jaw operated by a long steel handle. Cast into the body is the wording “MADE IN ENGLAND”. The jaws carry brass-coloured plates, and a threaded spindle runs through the centre of the mechanism. Its substantial build and bench-mounting base reflect its intended use for heavier gripping tasks.
Used Condition with Visible Wear
This vice shows clear signs of age and use, including areas of worn paint, surface marks and dirt across the body and base. Some rust-coloured discolouration is visible on the casting. Its working order has not been confirmed. The Made in England marking and original blue finish give it character for buyers and collectors of vintage workshop equipment, or for those looking for a sturdy vice to restore or adapt for their own bench.
