Licensed Victuallers Society Collar
This is a striking collar belonging to the High Wycombe and Beaconsfield Licensed Victuallers Association (LVA). The collar features a deep blue velvet backing adorned with numerous brass plaques, each engraved with the name and year of a Chairman, spanning from the 1950s to the 1980s. A central pendant displays further detailing, and a silver enamel medal depicting the LVA crest completes the ensemble.
Condition and Collectibility
The collar shows signs of age and wear consistent with its use and history, with some minor tarnishing to the brass plaques and wear to the velvet. Despite this, it remains a visually impressive and historically significant piece, likely of interest to collectors of pub memorabilia, social history artefacts, or items relating to the licensed trade. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
