Globe Overview
This is an illuminated world globe, manufactured by Tecnodidattica ligure. The globe features detailed cartography, showcasing countries, cities, and geographical features. It is mounted on a brass-toned stand and designed to be illuminated from within, highlighting the map in low-light conditions. This globe is a classic example of educational and decorative cartography, likely dating from the mid to late 20th century.
Condition and Collectibility
The globe exhibits signs consistent with age and use. There are areas of wear to the surface of the globe, and the stand may show some patina. Despite these imperfections, the globe remains a visually appealing and potentially valuable collectible for enthusiasts of cartography, vintage educational tools, or global history. Its illuminated feature adds to its unique appeal and display potential.
