Indian Ceremonial Kukri Knife

This is a traditional Indian Kukri knife, a distinctive curved blade originating from Nepal and closely associated with the Gurkha soldiers. The knife features a robust, slightly curved blade designed for both chopping and thrusting. The handle is intricately crafted, appearing to be made of horn or a similar material, and features detailed carvings. This Kukri is a striking example of traditional Indian craftsmanship, likely intended for ceremonial or display purposes.

Condition and Collectibility

The Kukri exhibits signs of age and use, with some wear to the handle and blade. The blade retains a reasonable edge, though it may benefit from sharpening. This piece would be of interest to collectors of ethnographic arms and armour, or those interested in Indian or Gurkha history and culture. It presents a unique opportunity to own a piece of cultural heritage.
