Provenance & Design

This is an Indian military officer’s sword, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The blade is decorated with etched designs, and the hilt is constructed with a wire-wrapped grip and a protective langet. This style of sword was commonly carried by officers serving in the British Indian Army, reflecting a blend of British military traditions and Indian craftsmanship.
