International Universal Exhibition Medal

This is a gilt medal awarded at the International Universal Exhibition held at Earls Court, London in 1898. The medal features a detailed allegorical design with a central figure holding a wreath, surrounded by radiating lines and the inscription “INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSAL EXHIBITION”. The reverse displays the location and date, “LONDON 1898”, and is presented in a lined velvet presentation case.

Condition and Collectibility

The medal appears to be in good condition for its age, with some expected wear to the gilt finish. The velvet presentation case shows signs of age and wear, but remains structurally sound. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
