This lot comprises a tray of mixed Japanese porcelain ware and other china items, offering a varied selection of tea ware for the collector or enthusiast. The Japanese pieces include a teapot and matching covered sugar bowl decorated with gilt highlights, orange-red handles and landscape scenes with figures. Several cups and saucers carry similar gilt and figural decoration in a Japanese style, while others are decorated with pale blue and gilt detailing. The wider selection includes cups and saucers with white and burgundy rims, violet-patterned cups and saucers, a rose-decorated sugar bowl and a plate with a green sprig motif. Several pieces are wrapped in bubble wrap and packed together in the tray.
Good Value Lot for Collectors and Tea Ware Enthusiasts
The pieces are offered as seen, and no full condition report has been provided. Prospective buyers are advised to inspect the lot carefully before bidding, as the individual pieces are not described in detail and there is no information on their age or makers’ marks. The mix of gilt-decorated Japanese porcelain with more everyday china makes this lot of interest to those building a collection of tea ware, or to buyers looking for a varied group of decorative china for display or use in the home.
