Job Lot of Sicis Ciottoli and Mosaic Tiles
This lot offers a mixed collection of white ceramic mosaic tiles and stone pavers, presented in several original cardboard cartons and loose on a blue table. The contents include small square tiles, mesh-backed sheets of tesserae and cube-shaped pieces, alongside pebble-style pieces packed in boxes labelled Ciottoli di. The cartons carry the Sicis name, the Italian mosaic manufacturer known for its glass and ceramic mosaics, which makes this lot of interest to mosaic artists, restorers and interior designers.
Condition, Originality and Collector Appeal
The cartons show clear signs of age and handling, with worn card, split flaps and loose tape, and many of the tiles have chipped edges or are no longer attached to their mesh backing. Some pieces are scattered and grouped by type, so buyers should inspect the lot before bidding. The packaging and Sicis markings add originality and provenance, and the mixed range of shapes and surface finishes gives craftspeople useful material for projects, practice work or salvage. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
