Johnson Brothers China Tea Set with China Teddy Bear Figures
This lot offers a collection of Johnson Brothers china tea and dining pieces, accompanied by a group of china teddy bear figures. The china comprises a lidded tureen on a matching stand, a sauce boat with stand, a selection of cups and saucers, and a cruet-style lidded pot. The set is finished in white with an octagonal form and a delicate floral and trailing foliate border in pink and red. The teddy bear figures include four pieces, one dressed in a pink floral outfit, one seated tan bear, and two smaller bears, one holding a small pale green box.
Condition and Collectability
The condition of each piece should be examined by the buyer at the viewing, as the lot is offered as seen and no condition report has been provided. The china appears to be in generally presentable order, with the octagonal pieces showing the floral decoration to good effect. The teddy bear figures carry their original decoration and make an attractive companion to the tea service. The octagonal shape and pattern make this lot of interest to collectors of Johnson Brothers tableware, as well as to those seeking a charming display or a tea-themed table setting.
