Katsushika Hokusai Woodblock Prints
This pair of woodblock prints are attributed to the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). These prints depict scenes featuring an elderly man, and are part of a series known as “The Old Man Crazy”. The style is characteristic of Ukiyo-e, a traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique, known for its vibrant colours and detailed compositions. Text is visible on the verso of the prints.
Condition and Collectibility
These prints show signs of age and wear, consistent with their vintage. The prints have been previously mounted, and there is evidence of this in the paper. Despite this, the prints retain their artistic integrity and are highly collectible due to their attribution to Hokusai, a master of Ukiyo-e. These prints would be a valuable addition to any collection of Japanese art or woodblock prints.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
