Historical Garden Layout
This is a detailed architectural plan depicting a proposed Herbert garden layout for Kidwelly Castle. The drawing appears to be a schematic, likely created for planning or documentation purposes, showcasing the intended arrangement of planting beds, pathways, and potentially other garden features within the castle grounds. The style is indicative of historical garden design, focusing on formal layouts and potentially medicinal or culinary herb cultivation.
Condition and Collectibility
The plan exhibits signs of age and wear, consistent with its historical nature. While the paper shows creasing and some discoloration, the drawing remains largely legible and retains its historical integrity. This plan would be of interest to collectors of architectural drawings, garden history enthusiasts, or those with a particular interest in the history of Kidwelly Castle and its grounds.
