Lot of Kings Pattern Cutlery
This lot comprises a selection of Kings Pattern cutlery pieces. Marked ‘arg 800’, the items appear to be silver-plated, exhibiting the characteristic scrolling foliage and shell motifs of the Kings Pattern design. The collection includes forks, knives, and spoons, offering a variety of dining implements within this traditional style.
Condition and Collectibility
The cutlery shows signs of age and use, with some surface wear and possible tarnishing commensurate with its vintage. While not pristine, this adds to the character and appeal for collectors of antique silver plate. The ‘arg 800’ mark suggests a silver content of 800 parts per thousand, making it a potentially desirable addition to a flatware collection or for use in a period dining setting.
