L S Lowry Going to Work Canvas Print
This is a canvas print after L S Lowry’s painting titled Going to Work. The composition shows a dense crowd of small figures moving across a open street towards a group of industrial buildings, with chimneys, a domed tower and smoke rising into a pale sky. Lowry’s characteristic stick-like figures are drawn in dark tones, set against a muted palette of pinks, ochres and off-white. A signature appears in the lower right corner of the print.
