Introduction

This is a large 19th Century Thames Valley Lathe Back Windsor chair. Constructed using traditional methods, this chair features a solid wood seat, spindle back with a distinctive lathe-turned central splat, and elegantly shaped armrests. The turned legs provide both stability and visual appeal, characteristic of the Windsor style popular in rural England.

Condition
