Antique Mercury Barometer

This impressive antique mercury barometer features a beautifully crafted wooden case, likely dating from the Victorian era. The barometer displays both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales, with a delicate glass cover protecting the dial. The barometer’s design incorporates a decorative finial at the base and a circular dial with detailed markings for atmospheric pressure, making it a functional and visually appealing piece of scientific history.

Condition & Collectibility

This barometer shows signs consistent with age and use, including minor wear to the wooden case and some oxidation to the brass fittings. While the barometer’s functionality is not assessed, it presents a wonderful opportunity for restoration or display as a collectible antique. Its aesthetic appeal and historical significance make it a desirable addition to any collection of scientific instruments or antique home décor.
