Large Hessian Bell Tent Floor Rug
This large hessian bell tent floor rug is offered as a single lot, presented rolled and bound in olive-green fabric. It is the type of floor covering intended for use inside a bell tent, where it would sit beneath the living area.
The rug is made from a coarse, tightly woven hessian-style material with a textured, fibrous surface in warm brown tones. It is rolled into a cylindrical bundle and secured with several knots in the olive-green fabric wrap. No maker’s mark or label is visible from the lot as presented.
Condition and Collector Interest
Because the rug is rolled and bound, the full surface, edges and underside cannot be fully assessed from the lot as presented. Any wear, staining or fading that may be present is not evident at this stage, and prospective buyers are encouraged to make their own enquiries before bidding. The item is offered as seen.
Interest may come from buyers seeking a substantial natural-fibre floor covering for tent or camping use, or from those who appreciate utilitarian textiles of this kind. Its large size and robust woven construction may appeal to bidders looking for a practical, characterful piece for a canvas dwelling or outdoor space.
