Naval Shell Casing

This substantial shell casing originates from the World War I era, likely used in naval artillery. Constructed from copper, it exhibits the robust build quality typical of ordnance from this period. The casing’s size and construction suggest it was designed for a significant naval gun, and its patina speaks to years of exposure and history.

Condition & Collectability

The casing displays a weathered patina consistent with age and outdoor exposure. While showing signs of wear, it remains structurally sound and presents a compelling piece for collectors of military history, naval memorabilia, or antique ordnance. Its unique character and historical significance make it a desirable addition to any collection, offering a tangible link to the events of WWI.
