Large Porcelain Meat Plate
This lot is a large porcelain meat plate of oval form, finished in a plain white glaze. The central well is decorated in relief with a turkey shown in profile with its tail fanned, set among stylised foliage. A beaded border frames the central design, and the outer rim carries a band of raised fruit and leaves. The moulded detail gives the plate a traditional character, making it suited to the serving of roasts and other meats at the table.
Condition and Presentation
The plate is offered in the condition shown, with a clean white glaze and crisp embossed detail across the central design and rim. Small dark marks are visible on the surface and should be considered by prospective buyers. The piece may appeal to collectors of decorative ceramic serveware, particularly those seeking seasonal or harvest-themed tableware. Interested parties are encouraged to view the plate in person or request further information before bidding.
