Large Terracotta Planter
This large terracotta planter is a rounded garden pot with a wide, open top and a thick, flared rim. A raised moulded band encircles the upper body, adding a degree of definition to the otherwise plain form. The terracotta body has a warm orange-red tone, typical of traditional clay garden pottery, and the pot is suited to planting or standing in an outdoor setting.
Condition and Originality
The planter shows clear signs of age and outdoor use. The interior has green algae and dusty grey staining across the base, and the exterior displays pale, chalky deposits and patches of green growth around the lower section. The rim and surface show general wear and light marking. Its weathered finish may appeal to garden enthusiasts, collectors of aged terracotta, and buyers seeking a characterful planter for period or cottage-style gardens.
