Vintage Lord King World Time Desk Clock
This Japanese made world time desk clock is marked Lord King and is described as an NEC piece. It features a silvered dial with a central blue globe, twelve-hour Arabic numerals and a rotating outer ring listing major cities, from London, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin to Tehran, Hong Kong, Sydney, Honolulu and Los Angeles. GMT is highlighted in red, and a red date line marker sits in the lower section. The dial is set within a clear glass case framed by a brushed metal surround and two tall wooden uprights, giving it a clean, mid-century modern appearance.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The clock shows signs of age consistent with its period, but the dial appears clean and the printed city lettering remains legible. The glass panels are clear, and the wooden uprights and metal base appear generally sound.
