Lovatt’s Langley Mill Coffee Pot
This is a striking coffee pot produced by Lovatt’s of Langley Mill in 1961. The pot is crafted from earthenware and finished in a rich, earthy brown glaze. Its distinctive, slightly tapered form, coupled with the rounded handle and lid finial, exemplifies mid-century modern design. The pot is clearly marked with a military stamp, suggesting it was produced for use by the armed forces, adding to its collectability and historical interest.
Condition and Collectability
This coffee pot shows signs of age and use, consistent with a vintage item. There are no obvious major damages, but minor wear may be present upon close inspection. The military marking and the year of production make this a desirable piece for collectors of vintage kitchenalia, mid-century pottery, or military memorabilia. Its unique aesthetic and historical context would make it a standout addition to any collection or a talking point in a retro-styled kitchen.
