Masonic Jewel 1914-1918

This is a hallmarked silver Masonic jewel dating from the period 1914-1918. The jewel features a central depiction of a figure, likely a Masonic leader, standing before architectural elements. The dates ‘1914’ and ‘1918’ are prominently displayed on either side of the central design, signifying the period during which it was likely presented or worn. The jewel is suspended from an ornate loop and bar, typical of Masonic regalia of the era.

Condition and Collectability

The jewel shows signs of age and wear, consistent with its antique status. The silver has a pleasing patina, and while there are some minor surface scratches and imperfections, the overall detail remains clear and legible. This piece would be of interest to collectors of Masonic memorabilia, particularly those focused on items from the First World War period. The hallmarking and period detail add to its desirability.
