Pair of Black Metal Arched Headboards
This lot comprises a pair of metal headboards with arched tops and slender vertical spindles. Each headboard has a curved upper rail, several upright bars and two horizontal cross rails, with vertical slotted uprights at the base for fixing. The two pieces appear to be of matching design and are offered together as one lot. The maker is not identified, and no brand or marking is visible.
Condition and Collector Interest
Both headboards show a dark, matt finish, with some general wear and marks consistent with age and handling. One piece has a small brass-coloured fitting at the right-hand end of its cross rails. Originality appears to be intact, with the original frame and uprights present. The clean, simple lines of the arched design may appeal to buyers seeking a metal bed frame for a period or contemporary bedroom, or those looking to restore or repurpose matching pieces.
