Architectural Plans & Components

This lot comprises a collection of original architectural plans and associated wooden components relating to the Metropolitan Asylums Board. The plans detail designs for various structures, including a staircase and oak table, as evidenced by the labelled drawings. Notably, plan number ‘No 961’ is prominently displayed on several pieces, suggesting a specific project or phase of construction. The wooden components appear to be scaled models or sections used for visualisation and planning.

Condition & Collector Appeal

The plans exhibit signs of age and handling, with creasing, staining, and some minor tears. The wooden components show wear consistent with their age and likely use as working models. This collection offers a fascinating glimpse into the architectural practices and institutional design of the Metropolitan Asylums Board, making it a desirable item for collectors of architectural ephemera, hospital history, or London memorabilia.
