Bayonet Knife Description

This lot features two military bayonet knives, each with a distinct style. The first exhibits a straight, single-edged blade with a prominent fuller, designed for both cutting and thrusting. It features a dark, textured grip, likely made of hard rubber or a similar composite material, providing a secure hold even in wet conditions. The second knife has a curved blade and a similar grip. Both knives are accompanied by their original scabbards, featuring metal fittings and belt loops for secure carry.

Condition and Collectibility

These bayonet knives show signs of wear consistent with their military history and age. The blades exhibit some surface oxidation and minor pitting, while the grips show wear from handling. The scabbards also display wear and some surface corrosion. Despite these imperfections, these knives remain desirable pieces for collectors of military memorabilia, offering a tangible connection to historical conflicts and a glimpse into the equipment used by soldiers.
