Set of Military Letter Punches
This lot is a set of military letter punches, offered with a metal box. The punches carry Cyrillic characters on their working faces and are arranged in rows within the box. The box has a separate lid, which is included with the lot.
The punches are of dark metal and have a square, tapered body with a characters struck into the end. Each letter is cut in relief, and the set is presented in a shallow, rectangular metal box with a removable lid. The arrangement and the Cyrillic lettering suggest a set intended for marking or stamping, consistent with its military description.
Condition and Collector Interest
The punches show general wear and surface dust, with some residue visible on the bodies and within the box. The lettering is visible on many of the punches, though some faces are worn and the box shows marks and rubbing to its surfaces. The lot is offered as found and has not been tested for function.
Military stamping sets of this kind appeal to collectors of militaria, vintage tools and Cyrillic-marked items. Their modest scale, original box and visible character sets make them of interest to those researching military marking equipment or building a display of period tools.
