Historical Significance & Design
This elaborate ceremonial hat originates from the Ming Dynasty, and is accompanied by two collectible figures. The hat features intricate detailing and vibrant colours, indicative of the high status and importance of the wearer. Constructed with a rigid frame and adorned with detailed embroidery and embellishments, this hat would have been worn during important court ceremonies or rituals, signifying authority and power. The accompanying figures, likely representing auspicious symbols or deities, further enhance the ceremonial context of the ensemble.
Condition & Collectibility
The hat and figures exhibit signs consistent with age and historical use. There is evidence of wear, minor losses, and possible restoration, which is typical for artifacts of this period. Despite these imperfections, the hat remains a remarkable example of Ming Dynasty craftsmanship and a highly desirable piece for collectors of Asian art and historical artifacts. The combination of the hat and figures adds to its unique appeal and historical significance, making it a captivating addition to any collection.
