Mixed Collection of 7 Inch Vinyl Singles in Carry Case
This lot is a collection of mixed 7 inch vinyl singles housed in a black carry case. The records are arranged in two sections, with card dividers marked Slow, Christmas, Country, Reggae, Motown and 2 Tone. The collection spans several genres, including Bob Marley, and the sleeves include Marvin Gaye’s I Heard It Through the Grapevine and The Special AKA’s Nelson Mandela, coupled with Break Down. The case itself has a carrying handle and metal catches.
Condition, Originality and Collector Appeal
The sleeves show general signs of handling and wear, with some edges creased and marked. The records are presented in their picture sleeves where these are present, and the dividers suggest the collection was assembled and organised by genre by a previous owner. Lots of this kind appeal to collectors of 1970s and 1980s singles, particularly those interested in Motown, reggae and 2 Tone, and to buyers looking to build a themed collection or start a record library. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
