Small Moorcroft Leaf and Berry Vase in Blue and Green
This small baluster vase is by Moorcroft, the Staffordshire pottery whose decorated wares are widely collected. It stands approximately 4” tall and is decorated in a leaf and berry design in blue and green tones.
The vase has a flared rim above a rounded body that tapers to a narrower foot. The leaf and berry motif is worked in soft green leaves and rounded blue berries, with the glaze shading across the surface in the blue and green palette typical of the range. The underside is marked “MOORCROFT” and “MADE IN ENGLAND”, and there is a small circular mark beneath the name. Pieces of this scale are often displayed on a shelf or cabinet as part of a wider collection of Moorcroft pottery.
Condition and Collector Interest
The vase is offered as a decorative piece and is not described as complete or working. The glaze appears to retain its sheen, and the underside shows some light surface marking consistent with age. Intending buyers are encouraged to request a condition report from the saleroom before bidding. Its size, clear Moorcroft marks and classic leaf and berry design should appeal to collectors of early and mid twentieth century British art pottery, as well as those building a themed collection of Moorcroft wares.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
