Moorish Octagonal Lamp Table
This striking table is a beautiful example of Moorish revival design, likely dating to around 1900. The octagonal form is constructed with inlaid panels, showcasing intricate geometric patterns and a rich colour palette. The table’s design evokes the artistry of Islamic architecture and decorative arts, offering a unique and exotic aesthetic. It would have originally served as a lamp table, providing a surface for illumination and display.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The table presents with signs consistent with age and use, including surface wear and minor imperfections to the inlaid panels. These characteristics contribute to its antique charm and authenticity. This table would appeal to collectors of Moorish or oriental furniture, as well as those seeking a unique and decorative piece for their home. Its striking design and historical significance make it a desirable addition to any collection.
