Sculpture Details
This is a limited edition resin bronze sculpture, number 258 from an edition of 2500, depicting a tender moment between a mother and her baby. The sculpture is signed “M M Belsa” both on the base and subtly on the sculpture itself. The artist has captured a sense of intimacy and warmth through the flowing lines of the mother’s dress and the gentle embrace of the child. The sculpture is mounted on a square, light-coloured marble base, adding to its classic aesthetic.
Condition and Collectibility
The sculpture appears to be in good condition, with no obvious signs of significant damage or repair. The bronze finish shows some natural patina, consistent with age and handling. This piece would be of interest to collectors of figurative sculpture, particularly those who appreciate depictions of motherhood and family. The limited edition status and artist signature add to its value and desirability.
