Mrs Badger Weighted Fabric Doorstop in Blue Floral Dress and Bonnet
This charming Mrs Badger weighted fabric doorstop features a plush, fur-effect badger dressed in a blue floral print gown and matching bonnet. The figure has a black and white striped face, dark eyes and a black nose, with grey fur on the body and limbs. The dress is finished with a pale lace hem and a blue satin ribbon tie at the waist, while the bonnet has a lace brim and a blue ribbon bow. The weighted base is designed to hold a door open in a home or workspace, and the character styling gives it an old-fashioned, storybook appeal.
Condition, Originality and Collector Appeal
This piece appears to be used and shows signs of age, including light soiling and wear to the dress, lace trim and bonnet. The fur pile looks slightly flattened in places, and there are small marks on the fabric that are consistent with handling over time. There is no maker’s label or brand visible in the photograph, and the item is offered as viewed. Its whimsical character design and traditional floral fabric will appeal to collectors of badger-themed figures, Wind in the Willows memorabilia and vintage-style home decor, as well as buyers looking for a quirky, characterful doorstop.
