Large Murano Striped Art Glass Fish
This large Murano striped art glass fish measures 19” long and is offered as a decorative art glass sculpture. Murano is the Venetian glassmaking centre long associated with coloured and decorative glass, and this piece is presented as a striped art glass fish in that tradition. Its streamlined body is built up from bands of blue, green, yellow, white and reddish-brown glass that run along its length. The tail and fins are finished in clear glass, and the fish has a smooth, glossy surface that shows the colours clearly.
