National Allotments Society Dog Fine Sign
This is a vintage National Allotments Society sign, dating to 1939. The sign is a rectangular enamel notice detailing the fine imposed if a dog is found on allotment land. It serves as a historical reminder of rules and regulations governing allotment gardens during that era, and showcases a piece of social history relating to public spaces.
Condition and Collectibility
The sign exhibits signs of age and wear consistent with its vintage nature. The enamel surface shows some chipping and fading, adding to its character and authenticity. This sign would be of interest to collectors of vintage signage, gardenalia, or those interested in social history and allotment culture.
