Next Ceramic Scottie Dog Table Lamp
This is a ceramic table lamp in the form of a Scottie dog, offered from the Next range. The lamp stands on a sculpted terrier-style body with a raised head and upright tail, and is fitted with a cream fabric drum shade on a chrome-finished stem.
The figure is modelled with textured, wiry fur detail across the body, legs and head, finished in a warm cream-beige glaze with a glossy surface. The chrome stem rises from the back of the dog and supports the off-white fabric shade, giving the piece a playful, traditional character. A white flex is visible at the base, and the lamp is presented as a decorative occasional light for a side table or bedroom.
Condition and Collectability
The ceramic body presents with its glaze intact and no obvious chips or cracks evident at the time of cataloguing. The fabric shade shows some light surface marks and general wear consistent with age and use. The lamp is offered as seen and no testing has been carried out.
Novelty ceramic animal lamps of this kind appeal to buyers looking for characterful pieces for children’s rooms, country-style interiors or themed collections of dog-related decor. Its clean lines and well-defined sculpting make it a practical and decorative option for those seeking a distinctive side table light.
