Nikko Turbo Panther II RC Buggy

This lot is a Nikko Turbo Panther II radio control buggy, presented in a black colourway with contrasting red, white and blue striped decals. It is a vintage-style remote controlled toy from the Japanese maker Nikko, offered as a single item.

The buggy is finished in glossy black with “Turbo Panther II” lettering to the sides and nose, along with race numbering “90” to the body and the rear wing. The rear wing is a tall, slatted design carrying “Exciting Motor Sports” script and NKS branding, while the front nose wing is fitted with matching Turbo Panther II graphics. The chassis rides on large, knobbly tyres with white five-spoke wheels, and the body is marked “Nikko Radio Control Systems”, reflecting its origins as a radio controlled model.

Condition and Collector Interest

The buggy shows general wear consistent with its age, including some surface scuffs and marks to the bodywork and decals. Its working order, electrical function and completeness have not been confirmed, and no transmitter, battery or other accessories are stated as included. It is offered as seen, and buyers should make their own assessment before bidding.

Items of this kind are popular with collectors of 1980s and 1990s radio control vehicles, particularly those interested in Nikko’s Turbo Panther range and its bold race-inspired styling. The distinctive graphics and striking black finish make it an appealing display piece for enthusiasts of retro RC toys, or a project for restorers.
