Nintendo Game Boy Color Grape Handheld Console
This lot comprises a Nintendo Game Boy Color handheld console in grape purple, offered together with a Game Boy cartridge and a black Nintendo carry case. The Game Boy Color was launched by Nintendo as the colour successor to the original Game Boy, and it plays Game Boy cartridges as well as titles designed specifically for colour. The console has a compact, moulded body with a directional pad, A and B buttons, Select and Start buttons, and a backlit colour screen labelled Game Boy Color on the front. The cartridge included has wrestling-themed artwork on its label, and the black Nintendo case, with red Nintendo logo to the front, provides a means of carrying the console and accessories.
Condition and Collector Interest
The console is offered in used condition, and the cartridge and carry case show signs of wear consistent with age and handling. No further details regarding operation, battery condition or completeness of accessories are provided, and this lot is offered as described without warranty of function. Items of this kind appeal to collectors of Nintendo hardware and retro handheld gaming, particularly those seeking a grape-coloured Game Boy Color with original Nintendo case and a matching game in one lot.
