Large Oak Framed World Map Print on Glass
This large oak framed world map print on glass is offered as a decorative wall piece reproducing an early map of the world. The print carries the Latin inscription “Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Geographica ac Hydrographica Tabula” and is credited to Auct. Henr. Hondius along the upper margin. It shows two hemispheres, decorated with portrait medallions, cartouches and ornamental borders in warm reds, golds and blues. The print is set behind glass within a wide, simple wooden frame with a dark inner mount.
